The new Nissan Juke will have a hybrid variant in Europe. The Nissan Juke Hybrid is presented to expand Nissan’s electrification lineup in Europe.

Different from the regular Nissan Juke which can have a 999 cc engine, the Juke Hybrid has a 1,600 cc engine combined with an electric motor.

The Juke Hybrid engine is said to produce 94 hp and 148 Nm of peak torque, then the electric motor will produce 36 kW or 49 hp and 205 Nm of torque.

In addition to the engine and electric motor, the Juke Hybrid is also equipped with a 15 kW generator, inverter and 1.2 kWh battery supplied by Renault.

But the most interesting thing about the Juke Hybrid is the gearbox which is different from the usual automatic transmission.

Nissan says the gearbox has 4 engine gears and 2 electric motor gears and is designed to reduce friction and provide smooth acceleration.

Not only that, the Juke Hybrid is said to operate optimally in full electric mode or EV Mode, including when it is first turned on.

In this electric car mode, the Juke Hybrid can only reach speeds of 55 km / h but does not emit the slightest exhaust emissions.

Unfortunately, Nissan has not provided a full electric Juke Hybrid claim mileage.

The Juke Hybrid also has an e-Pedal feature like the Nissan Leaf which allows it to be controlled via the gas pedal only.
