Lotus has revealed Lotus Eletre SUV electric which comes with the latest features for electric vehicles. The Lotus Eletre is Lotus’ second electric car after the Evija as well as the first SUV released by the Hethel, England-based manufacturer.
For brief information, Lotus Eletre was developed from the Electric Premium Architecture platform which has a charging capability of 800 volts.
Its performance is supported by two four-wheel drive electric motors that are targeted to have a power starting from 600 hp.
Not only a powerful electric motor, the Lotus Eletre also gets a Lithium-ion battery with a capacity of more than 100 kWh.
Lotus targets the Eletre Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedures (WLTP) distance of 600 kilometers.
In addition to violent performance and a large battery, Lotus also embeds a lot of the latest technology and super-sophisticated features, you know.
Starting from the exterior, the Lotus Eletre does not have an ordinary rearview mirror but a rearview camera called the Electric Reverse Mirror Display (ERMD).
Then around the exterior of the Eletre, Lotus has pinned several Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) sensors for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
This LIDAR sensor hides in several places such as the top of the windshield, the top of the rear glass, and the front fender when not in use.
Thanks to this sensor, Lotus says the Eletre already supports end-to-end autonomous driving technology and can be integrated via software updates.
Oh yes, about the ADAS feature, the Eletre is equipped with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigation Support Front (CMSF), Traffic Sign Information (TSI), Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Children Presence Detection (CPD), Lane Keep Aid with Lane Departure Warning / Prevention (LKA+), Parking Emergency Brake (PEB), and Collision Mitigation Support Rear (CMSR).
The sophistication of the Lotus Eletre continues in its interior which is wrapped in ultra-premium and environmentally friendly materials.
Lotus provides the Eletre with a thin digital instrument screen as well as a central 15.1-inch OLED touchscreen that integrates many infotainment features.
Not to forget the Lotus Eletre is also equipped with an Augmented Reality (AR) head up display, a standard 15 speaker KEF Premium audio system, and 5G internet connectivity.
