CES 2023 displays a variety of the latest technological developments, one of which is the Dolby Atmos feature in the Volvo EX90 cabin. Like listening to a music concert in the cabin, the sound system is truly extraordinary.

Overview of the Dolby Atmos feature, is the name of a surround sound technology owned by Dolby Laboratories. Atmos was introduced on June 8, 2012 at the launch of the film Brave. After the launch of Atmos technology for cinemas, several types of Atmos technology for retail users were also launched.

Dolby Atmos is already known as a sound technology that uses a surround sound system. Where, this technique makes the audio quality that is issued more real and high resolution.

The new Volvo EX90 electric SUV is the first in a new line of all-electric vehicles that will feature a Dolby Atmos audio experience.

Equipped with a 25 speaker high-end surround sound system from Bowers & Wilkins including 4 additional headrest speakers and 4 speakers 3-D that emit sound from above.

Imagine, the presence of 25 speakers in the cabin will provide a more powerful music quality listening experience. With a surround system, it will make the driver and passengers feel like they are surrounded by a music concert.

Both drivers and passengers will also be able to enjoy immersive entertainment experiences in Dolby Atmos, wherever they go.

For your information, the Volvo EX90 is powered by a 111kWh battery and two permanent magnet electric motors together to produce a performance version of 517 hp and 910 Nm of torque.

Delivering an emission-free driving range of up to 600 kilometers on a single charge, according to the WLTP test cycle, it charges from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.

Volvo says its electric flagship SUV fully reflects the company’s global footprint, the Volvo EX90 will be built in the United States from 2023 and thereafter in China.
