The Volvo EX30, set to be released in the near future, is an all-electric SUV being developed by Volvo. The car is currently in advanced stages of testing, with test vehicles spotted in China.
Though the car has been concealed with camouflage, it is known that it will be based on the same platform as the Smart #1 and the Zeekr 003, meaning it will likely have similar batteries and electric motors. This could include a 272 horsepower rear-wheel drive, or a dual motor AWD setup with 428 horsepower.
The exterior of the EX30 features a raised hood and test headlights that may be replaced with newer Thor Hammer headlights. It has a sleek and aerodynamic design with slender A-pillars and power-folding side mirrors.
The back of the car has been improved with a sleek roof spoiler and a rear window wiper. In terms of size, the EX30 is comparable to the Smart #1 and Zeekr 003, measuring approximately 4.2 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and 1.6 meters in height.
The interior of the EX30, despite being partially concealed by camouflage, featured a large vertical floating screen on the primary control panel. The instrument panel was hidden behind the steering wheel, similar to the EX90. Despite a narrow central tunnel, the interior appeared spacious, with a notable sunroof.
The seats were similar to those in the EX90, made of environmentally-friendly Nordico material, a recycled material composed of plastic bottles and pine resin. As testing continues and an announcement date set for the current year, it will be intriguing to see how the EX30 compares to other electric SUVs in the market.
