Volta Trucks, the prominent manufacturer and services provider of all-electric commercial vehicles, has recently announced an extended collaboration with Petit Forestier, solidifying their existing purchase and supply agreement. This partnership aims to offer refrigerated rental and leasing truck solutions throughout Europe and the UK.
Under the new agreement, Petit Forestier will serve as the rental and leasing partner for the refrigerated variant of Volta Trucks’ all-electric 16-tonne and 18-tonne Volta Zero models in several European markets, including France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and the UK.
This collaboration brings together Volta Trucks’ expertise in electric trucks and charging infrastructure with Petit Forestier’s renowned proficiency in providing comprehensive refrigerated solutions. The objective is to facilitate the transition to electric fleets by offering customers a seamless and simplified experience.
Established in 1907, Petit Forestier stands as the sole European hire company in the rental market specializing in refrigeration. The company boasts an impressive fleet of over 70,000 refrigerated vehicles, making it the largest of its kind in Europe. Currently operating across 20 countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, Petit Forestier caters to the temperature-controlled logistics and transport needs of more than 15,000 customers, ensuring the safe delivery of goods from production to the end consumer.
Essa Al-Saleh, the Chief Executive Officer of Volta Trucks, expressed the significance of temperature-controlled transport in the company’s strategy, emphasizing the Volta Zero’s role in providing zero-tailpipe emission urban logistics.
