The development of electric vehicles is moving fast. Various world automotive manufacturers are preparing new electric cars, ranging from hybrids, plug-in hybrids (PHEV), 100% batteries, to hydrogen.
One brand that is serious about moving, is Volkswagen (VW) with plans to create a special production facility for the production of electric vehicles. Reportedly, the new factory will be built in front of the main factory in Wolfsburg, Germany.
Based on his official statement, written on Wednesday (9/3/2022), this new factory will be used for the production of its newest electric vehicle, the Volkswagen Trinity. The investment spent to build the facility, amounted to 2 billion euros.

This new plant, which will begin construction in 2023, will have a fairly high environmental standard.
“We are setting a benchmark in the automotive industry, with Trinity and this new factory. This confirms that the transformation of the German economy as an industrial center can be achieved,” said Volkswagen CEO Ralf Brandstatter.
The Volkswagen Trinity will be built using the most innovative manufacturing methods, and will be launched off the assembly line in 2026.

Volkswagen Trinity will use a level 4 autonomous or driverless system. In addition, VW also intends to target being able to make electric cars 10 hours per vehicle.
The new facility is expected to model for the main Wolfsburg plant as well as at all Volkswagen plants around the world.
