Volkswagen has released a teaser of the ID. Aero electric sedan will soon be introduced to the public.
Through its official media page, Volkswagen has shared some of the first sketches of a concept car that is said to be its first electric sedan.
Volkswagen plans to introduce the ID. AERO concept car online on Monday (27/6) at 19.00 WIB.
Along with the teaser, Volkswagen also provided some of the first information about ID. AERO. First, Volkswagen ID. AERO will be an electric sedan limousine designed for the Chinese market.
Volkswagen calls the design ID. AERO is aimed at attracting middle and upper class consumers. Interestingly, apart from China, Volkswagen also mentions ID. AERO will greet North America and Europe.
So if you look at his appearance, ID. AERO still looks similar to other Volkswagen ID electric cars.
For example, it has a panel grille with the VW logo connected to the DRL lights, the aerodynamic body, and the taillights are connected in line.
In addition, Volkswagen ID. AERO is also confirmed to be developed from the Modularer E-Antriebs Baukasten (MEB) platform.
Unfortunately Volkswagen does not provide information on the specifications of the electric motor or battery that will be used by Volkswagen ID. AERO.
But if you look at other Volkswagen ID cars, it’s not impossible for ID. AERO gets the motor and battery from the ID.5 GTX.
At first glance, the ID.5 GTX is equipped with two all-wheel-drive electric motors with 299 hp and 460 Nm of torque. The electric motor is combined with a 77 kWh battery that gives the ID.5 GTX a claimed range of 490 kilometers.
