Volkswagen ID.4 reservations in America until mid-December have reached 40,000 By 2021. This achievement makes the Volkswagen ID.4 one of the fastest selling Volkswagen vehicles in America.

There is an interesting finding from Volkswagen that nine out of ten buyers identify as first-time EV buyers.

Since the introduction of the Volkswagen ID.4 in March 2021, orders for the vehicle have reached 40,000 with 15,000 cars sold. Another 25,000 buyers will have to wait for Volkswagen to increase production and sales of the Volkswagen ID.4. A little difficult to realize because of the high demand in Europe as well as production constraints such as shortage of semiconductor supply.

The good news is that in 2022, Volkswagen plans to do local production of the ID.4 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The ID.4 battery cells will be supplied by SK Innovation from SK On's new battery factory in Commerce, Georgia.

Meanwhile, the manufacturer says it supports its dealer network in the transition to an electric future.

German car manufacturer, Volkswagen seems to be very serious about working on the electric car market. Recently, VW made a major investment of US$ 20 million to build and develop about 600 of their electric car dealerships in the United States.
