Volkswagen Anhui delivered 2,303 vehicles in May, marking a 119% increase from April as the company accelerated product launches and expanded its portfolio of intelligent battery-electric vehicles in China’s highly competitive new energy vehicle market.

The company said deliveries during the first five months of 2026 increased at an average monthly rate of 55%, reflecting sustained growth momentum as its latest models gain traction among consumers.

ID. UNYX Models Drive Growth

Volkswagen Anhui currently offers three fully electric models under its ID. UNYX lineup: the ID. UNYX 06, ID. UNYX 07 and ID. UNYX 08.

According to the company, customer reception has been positive since the vehicles entered the market.

The ID. UNYX 07 has emerged as one of the brand’s strongest performers, achieving an 82% test-drive-to-purchase conversion rate and attracting growing consumer interest.

New Models Launched in May

The company expanded its product range significantly during May.

On May 23, Volkswagen Anhui introduced the ID. UNYX 06 compact electric SUV with a limited-time price range of 134,900 yuan to 144,900 yuan.

The model features a passenger-side display screen and, on selected variants, LiDAR-supported urban Navigate-on-Autopilot (NOA) functionality. It offers a CLTC-rated driving range of up to 528 kilometers.

The same day, the company launched the ID. UNYX 07 midsize electric sedan, priced between 109,900 yuan and 119,900 yuan.

The sedan is also available with LiDAR-enabled intelligent driving technology and delivers a CLTC range of up to 558 kilometers.

XPENG Partnership Model Receives Incentives

Volkswagen Anhui further boosted its lineup on May 29 by introducing a temporary 20,000-yuan cash rebate for the ID. UNYX 08, reducing its effective price range to between 209,900 yuan and 269,900 yuan.

The ID. UNYX 08 is the first production model developed through the partnership between Volkswagen and XPENG.

The vehicle is equipped with dual-chamber air suspension, DCC adaptive damping, AI Magic Carpet preview technology, dual Turing AI chips and a VLA end-to-end large model architecture.

Built on an 800-volt electrical platform, the flagship electric vehicle offers a maximum driving range of up to 730 kilometers.

Expanding Presence in China’s EV Market

Volkswagen Anhui said the growing product portfolio and wider availability of intelligent driving technologies across different price segments are helping the company strengthen its position in both the mainstream and premium electric vehicle markets.
