U.S.-based EV charging firm viveEV has received official safety certification for its 600 kW Ultra Slim and Tron DC fast chargers from TÜV Rheinland, a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) acknowledged by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The approval clears the way for the widespread public deployment of its ultra-fast charging solutions across the United States.
The certification confirms the chargers meet multiple U.S. safety standards, including UL 2202, UL 2231-1, UL 2231-2, UL 1998, and UL 991, ensuring regulatory compliance for deployment in commercial and public environments. TÜV Rheinland’s assessment also reflects adherence to global standards such as ISO 15118 and IEC 61851-1, enabling interoperability across EV models and seamless grid integration.
“Our chargers were designed to meet the most rigorous standards from inception, and this certification granted by TÜV Rheinland demonstrates our commitment to uncompromised safety and reliability in real-world deployment,” said Jason Kim, CEO of viveEV.
Both the Tron and Ultra Slim models offer 600kW charging capacity with dynamic power sharing of up to 600 amps per dispenser, supporting up to four vehicles simultaneously. The compact design allows for installation in space-limited locations, including urban retail centers, fleet depots, and traditional gas stations. The chargers also feature NACS and CCS1 connectors, as well as multiple integrated payment systems to enhance accessibility.
With the new safety approvals in place, viveEV aims to redefine ultra-fast charging with hardware engineered for performance, safety, and scalability in high-traffic locations.
