VinFast Tops 100,000 Domestic EV Sales in First Half of 2026

VinFast delivered 115,916 electric vehicles (EVs) in Vietnam during the first half of 2026, surpassing 100,000 domestic sales in a six-month period for the first time, according to the automaker.

The company said it has remained the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam for 21 consecutive months, from October 2024 through June 2026.

Limo Green Leads Deliveries

The Limo Green, a mid-size multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) designed primarily for commercial transportation and mobility services, was VinFast’s best-selling model during the January-to-June period with 27,927 deliveries.

The VF 3 city car ranked second with 23,781 units delivered, followed by the VF 5 compact SUV, including the Herio Green variant, with 20,167 deliveries.

The VF 6 sub-compact SUV contributed 14,045 units, while the Limo Green’s passenger-oriented counterpart recorded 9,177 deliveries. The VF 7 compact SUV accounted for 6,849 units.

VinFast did not disclose first-half sales figures for its larger VF 8 and VF 9 SUVs or several commercial vehicle models, including the EC Van and Minio Green.

Sales Continue to Accelerate

The company’s domestic deliveries increased 71.55% from 67,569 units in the first half of 2025.

VinFast ended 2025 with total domestic sales of 175,099 vehicles. Based on its first-half performance, the company remains on track to exceed 200,000 domestic deliveries in 2026 if current sales momentum continues through the second half.

Earlier this month, VinFast introduced the VF 2, a passenger version of the Minio Green, targeting private buyers.

The new model is priced at 188 million Vietnamese dong (approximately €6,300), with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in September.

According to the company, the VF 2 becomes the most affordable model in VinFast’s lineup and is positioned below the VF 3 in size while targeting the entry-level urban EV segment.
