VinFast has launched a new seven-seat electric multi-purpose vehicle, the VF MPV 7, in its home market, expanding its passenger EV lineup with a model derived from the Limo Green commercial vehicle introduced last year.

The VF MPV 7 measures 4.74 metres in length, 1.87 metres in width and 1.73 metres in height, with a wheelbase of 2.84 metres. VinFast is offering the model in a single configuration, powered by a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kilowatts and 280 newton metres of torque. Energy is supplied by a 60.13 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which VinFast says can be charged from 10% to 70% in about 30 minutes and delivers a range of up to 450 kilometres under the NEDC test cycle.

The vehicle retains the space-oriented proportions of the Limo Green while incorporating several design changes aimed at private buyers. These include LED light bands forming VinFast’s “V” signature between the daytime running lights, chrome trim along the beltline and newly designed 19-inch wheels, replacing the 18-inch units used on the commercial version.

Inside, the VF MPV 7 largely mirrors the minimalist interior layout of the Limo Green. VinFast has revised the centre console to increase storage space and relocated the electronic gear selector to behind the steering wheel. Artificial leather upholstery and a PM2.5 air filtration system have been added to enhance cabin comfort.

Standard equipment includes automatic climate control, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, remote vehicle tracking, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. The model does not feature a dedicated instrument cluster or head-up display, with driving information displayed solely on the central screen.

VinFast has priced the VF MPV 7 at 819 million Vietnamese dong (about 26,700 euros) and said deliveries are expected to begin in February. The company has also announced plans to introduce the Limo Green to India in February and Indonesia in March, and is expected to launch the VF MPV 7 alongside the commercial model in those markets.
