Verge Motorcycles, the Finnish electric motorbike manufacturer, is introducing its highest-spec bike yet, the Verge TS Ultra, at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) taking place from January 5 to 8, 2023.
This year, the company is also announcing its plans to start selling its bikes in the United States later in the year. U.S. residents can now place preorders for Verge Motorcycles on the company’s website.
The company has been generating excitement for its futuristic designs since 2021, and European riders have already been able to purchase and receive previous TS models, with preorders starting at the end of 2021.
Verge Motorcycles has a unique design for its electric bikes, featuring a hubless rim-mounted motor rather than a hub-centered motor located in the rear wheel.
The company’s latest model, the Verge TS Ultra, boasts impressive specs including 1,200 newton-meters of torque, 201 horsepower, a zero-to-60 time of 2.5 seconds, a top speed of 124 mph, a range of up to 233 miles on a single charge, and the ability to fast-charge from zero to 80% in as little as 25 minutes.
Most of the parts for Verge Motorcycles are made in-house, with the remainder sourced from European manufacturers. The base Verge TS model starts at $26,900 and is estimated to be delivered in September 2023, while the TS Pro model starts at $29,900 with an estimated delivery date of May 2023. The flagship TS Ultra model starts at $44,900 and is expected to be delivered in Q4 2023.
