Velotric introduced its latest fat-tire electric bike, the Nomad 2, on Tuesday, featuring a more powerful motor, improved suspension, and advanced pedal assist options for both urban and off-road riding.

The new model builds on the company’s success in the e-bike market, offering a balance of performance and comfort.

Equipped with a 750W motor delivering 90 Nm of torque, the Nomad 2 is designed to tackle steep inclines and rugged terrain with ease. Riders can choose between throttle mode or 15 levels of pedal assist, reaching speeds of up to 28 mph.

A key innovation is Velotric’s SensorSwap system, which allows users to switch between a torque sensor for a natural pedaling feel and a cadence sensor for effortless riding.

Built for adventure, the Nomad 2 features 26×4.0-inch tires, a 100mm hydraulic suspension fork, and a parallel linkage suspension seat post for enhanced comfort.

The bike supports up to 505 lbs of payload and boasts a 1,000-lb towing capacity. Its 48V 14.7Ah battery provides up to 65 miles of range and is UL-listed with an IPX7 waterproof rating.

Additional features include a 3.5-inch color display with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB-C phone charger, a 500-lumen headlight, hydraulic disc brakes, and an 8-speed Shimano transmission.

Priced at $1,999, the Velotric Nomad 2 is now available in two sizes, four colors, and both high-step and step-through frame options.
