Vauxhall has announced the launch of its refreshed Mokka Electric SUV, now featuring a more powerful battery and an improved range at a reduced price.

Set to begin deliveries in January 2025, the new Mokka Electric comes equipped with a 54 kWh battery, up from the previous 50 kWh model, allowing for a driving range of up to 250 miles (about 402 kilometers) per charge under the WLTP standard. The vehicle’s electric motor also sees an upgrade, now offering 156 PS (115 kW), compared to the former 100 kW.

In the UK market, Vauxhall is emphasizing the affordability of the updated Mokka Electric, advertising savings of up to £4,640. This adjustment makes the Design trim available from £33,245, while the GS trim is priced at £35,095, and the top-tier Ultimate trim at £38,095. The previous lower-priced Griffin trim, launched at £29,495 earlier this year, appears to have been discontinued.

To further incentivize customers, Vauxhall has maintained its partnership with Tesco and Octopus Energy, offering buyers a £500 credit towards an Octopus Energy Ohme Pro wallbox installation or a £500 free charging credit for use at Tesco stores nationwide. This initiative aims to make electric mobility more accessible and convenient.

Alongside the technical improvements, the Mokka Electric has received a refined design update. The model now features Vauxhall’s black Vizor grille that integrates the headlights and Griffin logo into a unified visual element.

Additional touches include body-colored skid plates, a new HD rear-view camera, and upgraded interior technology, with a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen now standard across trims.

These updates come shortly after Vauxhall’s sister brand Opel made similar adjustments to the Mokka Electric’s specifications and pricing in other markets.
