Urtopia Unveils New E-Bike with AI Integration and Smart Features

Urtopia has recently revealed a new e-bike, emphasizing its advanced AI functions and compatibility with various apps and wearables. Marketed as the first smart e-bike with ChatGPT integration, the model showcases a robust software architecture that facilitates communication among individual sensors, including a fingerprint sensor, GPS module, gyroscope, and torque sensor, connected via a CAN bus to a central control unit with dedicated computing chips.

The e-bike boasts 4G connectivity for cloud services and integrates with applications such as Google Maps, Apple Health, Strava, and ChatGPT through APIs.

Urtopia claims that the incorporation of AI support will enhance the electric support component of the ride over time by learning users’ pedaling behavior. While the effectiveness of this AI-supported adaptation remains to be fully clarified, Urtopia emphasizes the continuous improvement through software updates delivered as over-the-air (OTA) updates—an industry standard.

The upcoming e-bike features an integrated handlebar screen with navigation instructions, although it reportedly lacks color reproduction and offers a stylized resolution. The controller includes four directional buttons, a fingerprint sensor, and a gear shift, with the flexibility to accommodate two batteries.
