Opel has opened orders in Germany for the updated Astra and Astra Sports Tourer, with the battery-electric Astra now offering a driving range of up to 454 kilometres under the WLTP cycle, supported by a larger 58 kWh battery and new vehicle-to-load functionality.
The Opel Astra Electric is priced from €37,990 in Germany, unchanged from the previous model year despite the technical upgrades. The electric estate version, the Astra Sports Tourer Electric, starts at €39,490, while the entry-level Astra Hybrid is priced from €32,990, the company said.

The extended range represents an increase of around 35 kilometres compared with the outgoing Astra Electric. Opel said the updated model also introduces vehicle-to-load capability, allowing the car’s battery to power external devices without an additional generator or power source.
The refreshed Astra range is available with five powertrain options. Alongside the electric versions, customers can choose a 144 kW plug-in hybrid, a 107 kW mild hybrid petrol model, or a 1.5-litre diesel producing 96 kW. All prices quoted are recommended retail prices including VAT in Germany.
Under WLTP testing, the Astra Electric and Astra Sports Tourer Electric consume between 15.3 and 15.8 kWh per 100 kilometres and produce zero direct CO2 emissions. Plug-in hybrid versions consume 12.6–13.0 kWh of electricity and 2.2–2.3 litres of fuel per 100 kilometres, with CO2 emissions of 49–53 g/km. Mild hybrid variants return fuel consumption of 4.9–5.1 litres per 100 kilometres.

Visually, the updated Astra adopts a revised Opel Vizor front fascia with a narrower appearance and an illuminated Blitz emblem, a feature previously introduced on larger models. New alloy wheel designs in 17- and 18-inch sizes and two additional metallic paint colours have also been added.
Inside, Opel has made its patented Intelli-Seats standard across the entire Astra lineup. The seats feature a central channel designed to reduce tailbone pressure on longer journeys, while higher trim levels add AGR-certified driver seating. Updated digital displays, a vegan-wrapped steering wheel and optional mono-material ReNewKnit seat upholstery are also offered.
Cargo capacity remains unchanged, with the Astra hatchback offering up to 1,339 litres of luggage space and the Sports Tourer providing up to 1,634 litres with the rear seats folded.
