Trek, a renowned name in the cycling industry, has long been synonymous with innovation. As the global interest in cycling continues to soar, Trek, among other leading bike brands, has wholeheartedly embraced the e-bike trend. Currently boasting a staggering 91 models on its site, Trek is set to introduce its newest addition, the FX+ 2, bringing the total to an impressive 92 models.

The Trek FX+ 2 is designed as a lightweight, no-frills urban e-bike, catering to the entry-level market and appealing to commuters and those intrigued by e-bikes but cautious about the investment. Despite its affordability, the FX+ 2 doesn’t compromise on quality, boasting versatility, ease of use, and a host of proven technologies.

One standout feature of the FX+ 2 is its adaptability, offering multiple frame sizes to accommodate riders of various heights. Additionally, the bike is available in both step-through and step-over frame configurations, allowing riders to choose the style that suits them best. Weighing in at just 17 kilograms (37 pounds), the FX+ 2 is designed to be agile and user-friendly.

Powering the FX+ 2 is a rear hub-mounted motor from Taiwanese e-bike powertrain specialist Hyena, delivering a respectable 40 Nm (29.5 pound-feet) of torque—sufficient for conquering moderately steep inclines. The motor is fueled by a 250-watt-hour battery pack integrated into the downtube, offering a claimed range of 56 kilometers (35 miles) on a single charge, with actual range varying based on terrain and rider habits.

Additionally, the bike comes equipped with a rear luggage rack compatible with the MIK luggage system for convenient accessory attachment.
