Toyota Setting a Sales Target of 10,000 Units for the bZ4X Electric SUV in 2023

The Toyota bZ4X is an SUV that has had a rocky start in the market, with slow sales and a recall in 2022. However, the automaker is determined to give the bZ4X another chance in 2023, with a goal of selling 10,000 units.

This may seem like a small number, but it represents a significant increase from the 1,200 units sold in the previous year.

One of the reasons for the low sales is that Toyota had to recall all the bZ4Xs due to a loose nut that could cause the wheel to fall off. Additionally, it takes more resources to produce a single bZ4X compared to other Toyota models, such as the RAV4 Prime and the Prius. With the current chip shortage facing the automotive industry, Toyota is trying to make the most out of the resources it has available.

To boost sales, Toyota is planning a new marketing campaign for the bZ4X, which is set to begin in May. This may be a strategic move, as the automaker may want to avoid selling too many units during the cold winter months, as the bZ4X’s fast-charging capabilities may be affected in low temperatures.

Overall, it will be interesting to see if the bZ4X can make a comeback in 2023, and if Toyota’s efforts to increase sales will be successful.
