Consumers in the U.S. market now have the opportunity to purchase the Toyota bZ4X and Volkswagen ID.4 all-electric crossovers at compelling discounts, potentially making these vehicles more enticing options in the EV segment. However, the impact of these discounts on sales remains to be seen.
For the 2024 Toyota bZ4X, residents in New York can lease one for $299 per month for 36 months with $3,999 due at signing and an allowance of 10,000 miles per year. Additionally, a lease cash deal offers a 1.99% APR for up to 72 months, along with $2,500 in TFS APR Cash, totaling a $10,000 discount for New York buyers.
Residents in other states can also benefit from up to $9,000 in lease cash for the new Toyota EV. Those in New York seeking maximum savings may consider the 2023 bZ4X, which comes with $12,500 in lease cash.
On the other hand, the Volkswagen ID.4, known as VW’s most well-rounded EV, offers $7,500 in national lease cash, along with a Dealer Bonus of up to $5,000. Both offers can be combined, providing a potential savings of up to $12,500.
The dealer bonus amount varies based on the trim level, ranging from $1,000 for the ID.4 Standard to $5,000 for the ID.4 Pro S AWD. This dealer bonus offer is set to expire on April 30.
Furthermore, the 2023 ID.4 models are even more affordable. Last year’s ID.4 Pro S AWD, for example, is available with up to $13,000 in discounts. California residents can lease it for as little as $379 per month for 36 months with $4,499 due at signing.
