Toyota Motor Europe and Uber have announced a partnership to expand access to hybrid and battery-electric vehicles for Uber drivers and fleet partners across Europe.
The program will launch in 10 European countries in July 2026, offering eligible drivers preferential terms on new and used Toyota and Lexus vehicles, together with financing, leasing and insurance options.

The partnership combines services from Toyota Motor Europe, Toyota Financial Services, Toyota Insurance Services and KINTO Europe into a single mobility package.
According to the companies, the offering includes flexible financing, leasing arrangements, usage-based insurance and access to both new and approved used vehicles.
Drivers will be able to choose from hybrid and battery-electric models, depending on local market conditions and charging infrastructure availability.

Toyota said the initiative is intended to help professional drivers transition to lower-emission vehicles by reducing financial barriers associated with vehicle ownership.
The companies noted that ride-hailing drivers across Europe face increasing pressure to adopt lower-emission vehicles as regulatory requirements evolve and operating costs rise.
“This partnership improves vehicle access and financing for professional drivers, supporting a shift towards lower-emission fleets,” said Leonardo Carluccio, Vice President of Sales at Toyota Motor Europe.
“The deal aims to reduce vehicle ownership and financing barriers to drive electrification for drivers,” said Raoul Philipse, Senior Director of Central Operations at Uber.
Toyota said the program reflects its multi-pathway electrification strategy, allowing drivers to select vehicle technologies that best match their operating requirements and local infrastructure.
