Horwin is an electric vehicle company based in Austria. Horwin in recent years has released stylish and affordable electric motorcycles and scooters. With development and production in China, this manufacturer is able to manufacture electric motorcycles quickly and cheaply. Several models that already exist in the European market include the CR6 and EK3 models.
For the 2022 model year, Horwin has released a new model, the Horwin SK3. This model is designed as a utilitarian commuter that prioritizes function over form.
Horwin SK3 comes with a simple and sporty design. This model can be very suitable in everyday use.
The Horwin SK3 has modern features such as LED lighting, digital instrument panel, and built-in cruise control. All this technology comes in a very light package that gives the Horwin SK3 a weight of only 115 kilograms.
Horwin SK3 Specifications
The Horwin SK3 is powered by a center-mounted electric motor with a peak power of 6.2 kW and a continuous power of 3.1 kW. The Horwin SK3 has a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour, or 56 miles per hour.
The Horwin SK3 uses a 72V, 36Ah high-capacity 72V lithium-ion battery that promises a range of up to 80 kilometers, or 49 miles, provided a speed of no more than 45 kilometers per hour (28 miles per hour). The scooter can be plugged into a standard wall outlet via its built-in 8A charger, and can be fully charged in under five hours.
For longer trips, buyers can purchase a secondary battery that occupies the storage compartment under the seat. This effectively doubles the range of the scooter, but reduces its storage capacity.
Horwin SK3 Price
The Horwin SK3 will enter the European market in early 2022, and will be priced at an affordable 3,990 Euros, or the equivalent of $4,509 USD. In addition to the SK3, Horwin will also launch the SK1, a more basic electric scooter priced at $4,170 USD. This makes the SK1 the most affordable in the Horwin model lineup.
