Thailand-based charge point operator Spark EV has inaugurated its 100th electric vehicle charging station and plans to expand its network to 300 sites nationwide by December, the company said.

The expansion forms part of Spark EV’s broader target to operate 500 charging stations across Thailand by the end of next year, aiming to make a charging station available every 50 kilometres. The company’s charging sites feature high-capacity systems ranging from 180 kW to 600 kW, designed for electric cars, light commercial vehicles, and other high-power EVs. Spark EV said the stations can enable full charging in as little as ten minutes.

Earlier this month, Spark EV opened a new 600 kW charging hub in Nakhon Sawan Province, equipped with six Huawei-supplied DC chargers capable of delivering up to 480 kW each. The company’s current network spans 45 of Thailand’s 77 provinces and is being developed in partnership with Bangchak Corporation, one of the country’s largest oil refiners, which hosts Spark EV chargers at its fuel stations.

“Spark EV is committed to driving high-quality, sustainable, and comprehensive charging across Thailand by developing a modern and reliable charging infrastructure that meets the needs of electric vehicle drivers in Thailand with fast, safe, and easy-to-use charging technology,” said Voravee Plookcharoen, Chief Operating Officer of Spark EV. “We are committed to driving the growth of the electric vehicle industry and the sustainable development of green technology.”
