Tesla targets to produce 100 Semi electric trucks this year. The Tesla Semi truck entered production early last October at a factory near the Gigafactory Nevada, USA.

Quoting Electrek, production equipment at Gigafactory Nevada makes it possible to produce about five Tesla Semi electric trucks a week. The factory can produce about 250 trucks per year. Tesla plans to produce more at the Texas Gigafactory.

“Tesla may produce 100 Semi trailer trucks this year,” said Tesla Chairman of the Board Robin Denholm quoted from Insideevs today, Friday, November 18, 2022.

The largest electric car maker Tesla last month said it would increase production to 50,000 cars by 2024. However, for the Tesla Semi electric truck, only 100 units will be produced in 2022.

Tesla will deliver the Tesla Semi electric truck to consumers in December from the Nevada Gigafactory. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that he will ship the first Tesla Semi to Pepsi on December 1.

The food and beverage company will use it at Frito-Lay’s factories in Modesto and Sacramento, California, USA.
