Tesla is again recalling several models of its electric car products. This time 30,000 Tesla Model X was recalled due to improperly installed airbags.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said this software or calibration failure in the Tesla Model X could cause the airbag sensors to not function properly in the event of a traffic accident.

Quoted from Reuters , today, Saturday, November 19, 2022, Tesla said it would immediately fix this airbag problem and carry out an over-the-air software update.

The airbag system is a sensor when the car detects a hard collision. This sensor will send a signal to the airbag to inflate. An inflated airbag will protect the driver during an accident, especially in vital areas such as the head, neck and chest.

Some drivers don’t pay much attention to airbags because they believe that seatbelts are able to protect the body when an accident occurs. However, if the body is only held up using a seatbelt the potential for injury to the neck and chest is greater.

Earlier this month, Tesla recalled 40,000 Model S and Model X electric cars from 2017-2021. This recall was triggered by a problem with the power steering component. This obstacle is found when the Tesla electric car drives on a broken road or when it hits a pothole.
