Tesla has introduced a special discount program just in time for Independence Day, offering $1,000 off the purchase price of Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y to active military members, veterans, retirees, and their spouses. The initiative aims to recognize and honor those who have served the country.

“To honor those who have served our country, we’re offering members of the U.S. military $1,000 off the purchase price of Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X,” Tesla announced in a statement. “This offer is available to military veterans, retirees, active duty members and their spouses. There is no limit on the number of vehicles that can be purchased.”

Tesla will verify military status using ID.me and noted that the discount does not apply to Cybertruck or used Tesla vehicles. The company has not specified the duration of the Military Discount program.

The discount program is seen as a gesture to commemorate the sacrifices made by military personnel for the nation’s freedom. The timing aligns with Independence Day celebrations in the United States, potentially giving Tesla a positive start to its third quarter.
