HinrichsZane plans to release extended aerial footage soon, promising further insights into the ongoing developments at the site.
Tesla initiated groundwork for expansions at Giga Nevada earlier this year, aimed at bolstering production capacities for both the Semi truck and its advanced 4680 battery cells.
During Tesla’s Q1 2024 earnings call in April, Senior Manager of the Semi Program, Dan Priestley, provided an outlook on the facility, targeting initial production of Semis by late 2025, with deliveries to external customers slated for 2026.
Following the inaugural deliveries to PepsiCo in December 2022, Tesla has resumed momentum in its Semi program, recently delivering additional units to major companies such as Costco, Martin Brower, and Walmart. The electric Semis have also been instrumental in logistical operations between Tesla’s facilities, transporting over 20,000 battery packs from Giga Nevada to its Fremont factory in California.
As construction progresses at the Nevada site, industry watchers anticipate further updates on Tesla’s ambitious plans to scale production of its electric Semi trucks, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion strategy.
