Tesla has officially introduced its Supercharger network to Chile, marking the company’s first EV charging stations in the South American country. The new Supercharger stations follow the arrival of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, which landed in Chile earlier this year in April.
The initial Superchargers have been installed at two locations: Quilicura in Central Chile and Curauma, a coastal area near the South Pacific.

Each site houses four V4 Superchargers with a capacity of 250 kW, offering fast charging options for Tesla vehicles. Additionally, the stations are equipped with CCS compatibility, allowing non-Tesla electric vehicles to charge when the network is open to other manufacturers.
āThis is another important milestone for Tesla as we expand into new markets,” the company stated. “The Chilean EV market is still in its early stages, but we are confident that with the Supercharger network in place, more customers will consider Tesla and electric vehicles.”
Tesla’s expansion into Chile could potentially bolster the country’s limited electric vehicle market. In 2022, South America saw only 40,700 EV sales, with the majority (19,000) in Brazil. As Tesla continues to grow its Supercharger network, the presence of reliable charging infrastructure could encourage wider adoption of EVs in Chile and the broader region.
