Tesla’s Cybertruck, the highly anticipated electric pickup truck, is set to enter production soon. However, despite this milestone, Tesla has yet to update the pricing for the Cybertruck. This lack of update has left many curious about the current cost of the vehicle.
Back in 2019, when Tesla first unveiled the Cybertruck, they presented three different configurations with their respective specifications and pricing. The base model was a Single Motor RWD version, boasting a range of 250+ miles, a 0-60 mph acceleration in 6.5 seconds, a top speed of 110 mph, and a starting price of $39,900. The Dual Motor AWD variant offered a range of 300+ miles, a quicker 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, a higher top speed of 120 mph, and a starting price of $49,900. Finally, the range-topping Tri Motor AWD model promised an impressive range of 500+ miles, an astonishingly fast 0-60 mph acceleration in just 2.9 seconds, a top speed of 130 mph, and a starting price of $69,900.
These configurations and their corresponding specifications and pricing remained on Tesla’s website and pre-order page for approximately two years. However, they were eventually removed from the website at the end of 2021. Tesla stated that the pricing and configurations would be updated closer to the start of production, which was initially delayed but is now finally happening.
Recent developments have shown Tesla actively setting up production equipment and assembling its production line at Gigafactory Texas, indicating that the Cybertruck’s production is imminent, expected to begin this summer. Naturally, reservation holders eagerly await an update on the Cybertruck’s specifications, configurations, and pricing before production commences or deliveries are made. Unfortunately, it seems that Tesla CEO Elon Musk has made it clear that an update won’t be provided until the Cybertruck delivery event, currently targeted for the end of Q3.
This leaves many wondering about the potential cost of the Tesla Cybertruck today, taking into account years of inflation and supply chain challenges that have affected the automotive industry as a whole. The delay in providing updated pricing only adds to the intrigue surrounding the Cybertruck, leaving enthusiasts and potential buyers eagerly anticipating the upcoming delivery event and the crucial information it will bring.
