Tesla China has recently updated its order page for the Model 3, leading to revised delivery estimates for the all-electric sedan. The adjusted delivery estimates apply to both the Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range Dual Motor All Wheel Drive (AWD) versions of the Model 3 manufactured at Giga Shanghai.

According to the updated order page, the estimated delivery dates for the Model 3 RWD and Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor AWD are now listed as 3-6 weeks, compared to the previous estimate of 2-6 weeks. Notably, this update only applies to the Model 3, as the Model Y, also manufactured at Giga Shanghai, continues to have an estimated delivery date of 2-6 weeks for all variants.

Tesla China has not provided a specific reason for the longer wait times for the upgraded Model 3. However, recent reports have suggested that Giga Shanghai may have scaled back production last month, which could contribute to the delay.

In addition to the delivery estimate update, Tesla China has introduced a new incentive program, offering limited-time finance policies such as low downpayment offers and zero-interest loans. In promotional materials, Tesla China emphasized the affordability of the Giga Shanghai-made Model 3 and Model Y, highlighting the option to drive away with a new Tesla for as little as RMB 80,000 without any interest.

The Tesla Model 3 RWD starts at RMB 245,900 ($34,000) in China, while the Model 3 Long Range Dual Motor AWD starts at RMB 285,900 ($39,400).
