It is undeniable that the electric vehicle market is experiencing very positive growth in various countries, including the United States.

In the land of Uncle Sam, the electric vehicle segment is also experiencing growth in terms of sales which continue to increase from time to time.

The EV market in the United States grew by 66.4% during the second quarter of this year. During the second quarter of 2022, EV vehicles in the United States could sell up to 196,788 units. When compared to the same period last year, only 118,235 units were sold.

Even during the first half of 2022, EV sales rose by 75% to 370,726 units. In contrast to the first half of 2021, which only sold 216,927 units of electric vehicles. Even interestingly, from this study conducted by Cox Automotive, in addition to conveying the increasing sales of electric vehicles, the EV segment cannot even be approached by conventional vehicles in terms of sales growth.

Talking about the king of EV sales in the United States, Tesla is the best. During the second quarter of 2022, 2 products from Elon Musk's brand dominate the list of EV products with the highest sales. With the Tesla Model Y at the top with 59,822 units, followed by the Model 3 which sold 54,620 units.

Under the two Tesla models, there is the Ford Mustang Mach-E which is observed to have a very large difference at 10,941 units. Then the fourth and fifth positions were followed by 2 products from Korea, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 with 7,448 units and the Kia EV6 which sold up to 7,287 units.
