Tata Motors, an Indian automaker, has just launched its Avinya as an electric vehicle that demonstrates the company’s electrification vision.

The name “Avinya” comes from Sanskrit meaning “innovation,” which seems to reflect the electrification spirit of the Indian manufacturer.

Earlier in early April, Tata Motors also recently launched a concept SUV with an electric powertrain called the Tata Curvv.

Not much information we can get about the Tata Avinya specifications. But Tata Motors claims that the Avinya has a range of at least 310 miles (500 kilometers) after a charge of less than 30 minutes.

We see the Avinya leaning more towards a minivan than a crossover. The avi uses large wheels reminiscent of those fitted to the Volkswagen ID.3. The overall design of the Tata Avinya is reminiscent of the Audi E-Tron.

Tata Avinya does not use conventional rearview mirror and adopts a camera. The Avinya has an almost flat roofline that makes the interior look spacious with the front passenger seat swivel.

The cab offers plenty of space thanks to the extended wheelbase. The interior of the Tata Avi looks like a futuristic gaming console with a lounge that has a screen attached to the steering wheel.

Tata Motors promises the Avinya will turn into a production model by 2025.
