Good news for U.S. buyers interested in the Subaru WRX or the Ford F-150 Lightning: both vehicles are now being offered with 0% APR financing.

According to a recent dealer bulletin, the 2023 Subaru WRX is available with 0% APR financing for up to 72 months until the end of May. This deal stands out in comparison to the Hyundai Elantra N and Volkswagen Golf GTI, which offer financing rates of 6.49% and 5.9% respectively over the same period.

However, this attractive financing option is exclusive to the 2023 WRX model. The 2024 WRX comes with an APR rate of 6.29%. Reports from Cars Direct indicate that there are about 300 units of the 2023 WRX still available on dealership lots across the United States. This limited availability might make it challenging for some buyers to find a model that meets their specifications.

A buyer putting down $10,000 on a 2023 WRX would have monthly payments of approximately $300 over 72 months, saving more than $5,000 in interest compared to financing a 2024 WRX.

The Ford F-150 Lightning is also available with favorable financing terms. The manufacturer announced that 2023 models are eligible for 0% APR for 60 months and 1.9% APR for 72 months. According to Cars Direct, this is the first time Ford has offered interest-free financing on its electric pickup truck. However, the report does not specify the number of 2023 models currently in Fordā€™s inventory.

Ford has discontinued the offer of Retail Bonus Cash ranging from $2,500 to $12,500 in some regions, now only providing a $7,500 purchase incentive for the F-150 Lightning Platinum. Nonetheless, opting for the 1.9% financing rate over six years could save buyers around $6,500 in interest on a $50,000 model.
