Stellantis and Uber announced a joint partnership with Free2Move to focus on the electric vehicle market in France.

Free2Move will assist Uber in its plans to convert 50% of its fleet of vehicles in France to electric models.

The production and sale of more electric and hybrid vehicles is also a key part of the plan set out in March by Stellantis Chief Executive Carlos Tavares to double Stellantis’ overall revenue to 300 billion euros a year by 2030.

In August, Uber reported positive quarterly cash flow for the first time and forecast an above-expected third-quarter operating profit, as more people rely on its service for transportation and ordering food.

It is believed that this cooperation will strengthen both parties, because sales of Stellantis will be boosted while Uber will have a more fuel-efficient service.
