Starting in 2023, Volvo will only sell electric vehicle models in the United States . The strategy is part of the company’s plan to offer an electric-only line of products by 2030.
Customers will have the opportunity to choose from all kinds of electric vehicle innovations, from mild hybrid engines or plug-in hybrid powertrains, to pure electrics, slowly shifting petrol-fueled car models off the menu.
Every Volvo that is not yet fully electric, including the XC90, XC40 and V60, now has a mild hybrid version as standard.
