Hyundai has just released their sales data for April 2022 in the United States. Overall Hyundai has sold 61,668 in April in the US. This number is 20% lower than the same month last year.

Although overall decreased. However, sales of environmentally friendly vehicles (BEV, PHEV, HEV, and FCEV) in April increased by 68% compared to the same month last year. This increase was largely due to the high demand for the Hyundai Ioniq 5.

In April 2022, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 was recorded to have sold 2,677. This amount accounted for 4.3% of Hyundai’s total sales volume in April.

From January to April, Hyundai recorded selling 8,921 Ioniq 5s in the US. Assuming average sales per month, it is estimated that between 25,000-30,000 Ioniq 5 units can be sold in 2022.

Hyundai Nexo, which is a vehicle with hydrogen fuel, recorded sales of 47 units (up 161%) and 213 year-to-date (up 122%).

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is offered in several versions in the US. An entry-level version with a 58.2 kWh battery will hit the market later (Spring 2022). The top version has a range of 300 miles on a single charge.
