In a remarkable display of market enthusiasm, Japanese eVTOL developer SkyDrive has clinched its second pre-order agreement in Vietnam within two days. This recent deal, signed with CT UAV, a subsidiary of CT Group specializing in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies, brings the total pre-orders for SkyDrive’s groundbreaking SKYDRIVE eVTOL aircraft to an impressive 200 units in Vietnam alone.

Just yesterday, we reported that SkyDrive had sealed its initial pre-order agreement with Austin Aviation in South Carolina for up to five eVTOLs, marking the beginning of the company’s expansion into the United States. As part of its long-term vision, SkyDrive aims to establish a solid foothold in The Palmetto State by collaborating with local airports and aviation companies to create an integrated infrastructure plan for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), including eVTOL charters.

Looking back to its original headquarters in Toyota City, Japan, SkyDrive had already secured a noteworthy pre-order for 100 eVTOLs in Vietnam last November through a memorandum of understanding with Pacific Group Co. Ltd.

Today’s announcement of the second pre-order agreement in Vietnam with CT UAV significantly boosts SkyDrive’s position in the market, potentially doubling the number of aircraft sold in the country. By partnering with CT UAV, which is committed to incorporating AI technology into clean air mobility for an enhanced future and improved quality of life, SkyDrive aims to further explore the possibilities of scaling and commercializing eVTOL mobility in Vietnam.

The SKYDRIVE eVTOLs will be manufactured at a Suzuki facility in Japan, ensuring that the cutting-edge aircraft are built to the highest standards of quality and performance.

As the eVTOL industry continues to gain momentum and capture the imagination of aviation enthusiasts worldwide, SkyDrive’s success in securing pre-orders both at home and abroad showcases the growing demand for this revolutionary mode of air transportation. With a robust pipeline of orders and strategic partnerships, SkyDrive appears well-positioned to lead the way in the emerging Advanced Air Mobility sector, paving the path towards a more efficient and sustainable future of urban air travel.
