Skoda has introduced the Elroq vRS, the high-performance flagship of its Elroq electric SUV lineup, just six months after the initial world premiere of the model. The Czech automaker will showcase the sporty all-wheel-drive version during Milan Design Week, taking place from April 8 to 13.
Equipped with two electric motors, the Elroq vRS delivers a system output of 250 kW, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds, according to Skoda. The SUV uses a high-voltage battery with a gross capacity of 84 kWh (79 kWh net), providing a WLTP range of more than 550 kilometres.

Skoda also claims the Elroq vRS features its fastest charging system yet. The battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 26 minutes using DC fast charging at up to 185 kW, while AC charging at 11 kW takes approximately eight hours for a full charge.
“Škoda vRS models traditionally combine dynamic performance and sporty looks with well-balanced driving characteristics and practicality,” said Johannes Neft, Škoda Auto Board Member for Technical Development. “The Elroq vRS is no exception… [it] comes with an output of 340PS (250 kW) and a range of more than 550 kilometres while the DCC blends sportiness and comfort to perfection.”

The vRS version features exclusive black exterior accents, 21-inch alloy wheels, and debuts the ‘Modern Solid’ design language in Skoda’s performance segment. As part of its Milan presentation, Skoda collaborated with a shoe designer to highlight the Elroq vRS’s fashion-forward image.
The new model joins a growing Elroq family, which includes the 50, 60, 85, and 85x variants. The lineup ranges from the Elroq 50 with a 52 kWh battery and 125 kW RWD powertrain, to the 85x, which adds a front motor to the 210 kW rear-wheel system, raising output to 220 kW. The 85 and 85x versions can reach speeds of 180 km/h, while lower trims are capped at 160 km/h.

Built at Skoda’s Mladá Boleslav factory, the Elroq shares production lines with the all-electric Enyaq and combustion-powered Octavia models, thanks to the Volkswagen Group’s flexible manufacturing platforms.
Skoda recently launched three Elroq variants in the UK, with prices starting at £37,400, while the base model in Europe starts at €33,900.
