Skoda has officially launched the series production of its second all-electric vehicle, the Elroq, at its Mladá Boleslav plant in the Czech Republic.
The new compact SUV is now rolling off the production line alongside the Enyaq, marking a significant step in the company’s push towards electrification. By the end of 2024, Skoda had already received over 20,000 orders for the Elroq, demonstrating strong demand for the vehicle.

The Elroq is built on a flexible production line that accommodates both electric vehicles (EVs) and combustion-powered models. The production line in Mladá Boleslav now supports the assembly of the Enyaq, the Elroq, and the combustion-based Octavia.
To meet demand and ensure efficient manufacturing, Skoda shifted some Octavia production to its Kvasiny plant in 2024, allowing for up to 600 Elroq units to be produced daily. Additionally, Mladá Boleslav also manufactures the battery systems for these MEB (Modular Electric Drive) platform vehicles, underscoring the plant’s critical role in Skoda’s EV production strategy.
Andreas Dick, Board Member for Production and Logistics at Skoda Auto, highlighted the importance of the Mladá Boleslav plant, noting the synergy achieved by producing both electric models and battery systems in one location. This efficient production process reduces costs and benefits customers. The Elroq’s high demand, with over 20,000 orders already received, reflects its potential to attract a broader audience, with prices starting at 33,900 euros.

The Elroq, positioned between compact and SUV segments, offers three battery size options and power outputs ranging from 125 kW to 220 kW. Its design is clearly SUV-inspired, providing a more practical, budget-friendly electric vehicle compared to the larger, higher-priced Enyaq.
Available in four variants, the Elroq offers configurations with various battery sizes, including the 52 kWh Elroq 50, the 59 kWh Elroq 60, and the more powerful 77 kWh Elroq 85 and 85x models. These variants promise a range of 160 km/h to 180 km/h, with the Elroq 85 delivering up to 220 kW and a performance-oriented all-wheel-drive option.
