Skoda has just restarted production of the all-electric Enyaq iV at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav. Previously, production of the all-electric Enyaq iV had stopped for several weeks due to supply chain bottlenecks.

Production of the all-electric Enyaq iV was among the first to close due to supply chain bottlenecks in early March. As it turned out, most of the cable series came from Leoni’s supplier factory in the area around the city of Lviv, western Ukraine.

Skoda said the production capacity of the all-electric Enyaq iV will be gradually increased. When production resumes, approximately 1,000 Enyaq iVs can be produced per week.

The production facility in Mladá Boleslav can make up to 370 Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV per day. That would be 2,590 vehicles counted per week.

The Skoda Enyaq iV uses the MEB platform made by VW and is a direct cousin of the Volkswagen ID.4 and Audi Q4 e-tron. The Skoda Enyaq iV is the only MEB-based model in Europe produced outside of Germany.

In Q1, Skoda sold around 8,800 electric cars (up 260% year on year). The temporary suspension of production of the Skoda Enyaq iV is unfortunate. The Skoda Enyaq iV is one of the best-selling new all-electric models.
