Chinese automaker SGMW, under its Baojun and Wuling brands, has revealed the Baojun Huajing S, a new plug-in hybrid SUV co-developed with Huawei, according to filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). The model marks the latest collaboration between an established automaker and the Chinese technology giant, incorporating Huawei’s advanced automotive systems.
The Huajing S is based on SGMW’s Tianyu Architecture L platform and features a spacious design, measuring 5,235 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,800 mm in height, with a 3,105 mm wheelbase. The SUV seats five passengers and is positioned as a premium family-oriented PHEV offering.

Powertrain specifications include a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine delivering 105 kW, paired with a 100 kW electric motor. The combined system enables a top speed of 190 km/h. Energy storage is provided by a Sunwoda lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, supporting hybrid operation and improved fuel efficiency.
The vehicle integrates Huawei’s HarmonySpace 5 infotainment system and ADS 4.0 advanced driver assistance system, highlighting the increasing role of technology partnerships in China’s EV and hybrid markets. Huawei’s contribution extends to autonomous driving features, connectivity, and in-car digital experiences.

Baojun plans to launch the Huajing S in China in the fourth quarter of this year. By combining hybrid powertrain capabilities with cutting-edge digital features, the SUV targets consumers seeking both practicality and advanced connectivity.
