Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Rox Motor has officially entered the Saudi Arabian market, marking a significant step in its overseas expansion strategy.
The company debuted its all-terrain SUV, the Rox 01, at the LEAP 2025 event on February 9, securing over 200 orders in the region and continuing with ongoing sales.

Rox Motor’s entry into Saudi Arabia is supported by the opening of its first showroom in An Nasin, Riyadh, in partnership with the Laith Al Obaidi Group. Additionally, a flagship showroom on Khurais Road is set to open later this month. The company, founded in January 2021, launched its flagship model, the Rox 01, in August 2023.
The extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) is priced at RMB 299,900 ($41,050) in China and competes primarily with Li Auto’s Li L8. With a combined range of up to 1,100 kilometers and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.5 seconds, the Rox 01 is poised to make a strong impact in Saudi Arabiaās growing EV market.

Rox Motor sees Saudi Arabiaās Vision 2030 initiatives as a key opportunity to position itself as a leader in the countryās automotive future. The company plans to launch a new global model later this year and introduce one new model annually as part of its steady expansion.
With a presence in over 20 countries, including Qatar, Kazakhstan, and the United Arab Emirates, Rox Motor has received more than 10,000 orders for the Rox 01 in international markets. In December 2024, the company announced a record 1,268 unit deliveries, marking its sixth consecutive month of growth.
