Renault has presented its new Twingo E-Tech electric in the UK for the first time, positioning the compact city car as a lower-priced entry into its expanding electric vehicle lineup as automakers seek to broaden EV adoption.
The all-electric A-segment hatchback was shown from February 7 to 15 at Renault’s rnlt London Battersea concept store, located at Battersea Power Station. Orders are expected to open later this year. Renault has said the Twingo E-Tech electric is targeting a starting price below £20,000, placing it among the most affordable new electric cars planned for the UK market.

The Twingo E-Tech electric is designed primarily for urban use. It is powered by a 60-kilowatt electric motor and uses a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a claimed range of up to 163 miles under the WLTP testing cycle. Standard features include one-pedal driving, while higher specifications offer Renault’s OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in.
The model joins the Renault 5 E-Tech electric and Renault 4 E-Tech electric as part of the company’s growing zero-emission portfolio. Renault first revealed the Twingo E-Tech electric in Paris in November 2024 and has said the car will be produced at its Novo Mesto plant in Slovenia.
To support the launch, Renault is offering a £100 “Twingo R Pass” that provides priority access to ordering, along with additional merchandise and customer updates ahead of the official sales opening.
