Renault Trucks has unveiled its forthcoming electric vehicle, the E-Tech Trafic. This eco-friendly iteration of the popular Renault Trafic van is scheduled to make its debut in eight European markets, including France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. While the company has confirmed the imminent release, details regarding pricing and a synchronized market launch have yet to be disclosed.
The electric variant of the Renault Trafic, known as the Trafic E-Tech Electric, was initially introduced approximately one year ago. Built upon the third-generation Trafic platform, which has been in circulation since 2014, the electric model will be offered in two different lengths, measuring 5.08 meters (L1) and 5.48 meters (L2), as well as two height options at 1.97 meters (H1) and 2.5 meters (H2).

According to the latest information, the E-Trafic will come in three panel van configurations (L1H1, L2H1, L2H2) and two double cab panel van versions (L1H1 and L2H1). Renault, known for its emphasis on versatility and customizable features in its light commercial vehicles, offers a wide array of variants and equipment options. Depending on the selected version, the cargo capacity ranges from 5.8 to 8.9 cubic meters, with a maximum loading length of up to 4.15 meters in the extended L2 version, facilitated by a through-loading flap integrated into the bulkhead.
The electric propulsion system of the E-Trafic combines a 90 kW motor with a 52 kWh battery pack, resulting in an estimated WLTP range of up to 297 kilometers. Charging options include a 7 kW AC (single-phase) charger or a 22 kW AC charger. Notably, the battery can be fast-charged from 15 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes at compatible fast-charging stations.
