Range Zero Emissions has signed an agreement with RIZON Truck USA to become an authorized sales and service partner, expanding access to Daimler Truck’s RIZON Class 4–5 electric trucks in the Pacific Northwest and Upper Midwest. The company said the partnership positions it as the first authorized RIZON dealer in Washington State, with additional coverage extending into surrounding regions.
Range Zero Emissions, described as the first nationwide dealership dedicated exclusively to multi-brand commercial electric vehicles, will leverage its headquarters in Fife, Washington, and a facility near Minneapolis to support vehicle distribution, infrastructure planning, and ongoing service. RIZON’s Class 4–5 trucks offer up to 160 miles of range per charge and are designed for urban and last-mile operations, with configurations suitable for dry vans, flatbeds, reefers, landscape dumps and other commercial applications.
Alex Voets, General Manager of RIZON Truck USA, said the partnership addresses long-standing gaps in the commercial EV sector. “Range’s focus on sales, education, and power solutions addresses critical industry gaps,” Voets noted, adding that the model helps simplify electrification for OEMs and fleet operators.
Range Zero Emissions opened its Fife location near the Port of Tacoma in August and reports strong interest from fleet managers across multiple states. CEO Johannes Ariens said Daimler Truck’s investment in the RIZON brand reflects confidence in the sector’s long-term direction. The collaboration aims to streamline fleet electrification by offering comprehensive support, including infrastructure design, lifecycle planning and incentive identification.
RIZON trucks feature flexible charging compatibility, supporting CCS1 DC fast charging and J1772 Level 2 charging. The vehicles include electric power take-off (ePTO) functionality that allows operation of hydraulic pumps, reefer belt drives and other specialized equipment without an internal combustion engine.
RIZON, Daimler Truck’s ninth global brand, was introduced at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in May 2023, focusing exclusively on zero-emission medium-duty transport. Range Zero Emissions operates under the Ziegler Companies portfolio, leveraging decades of equipment expertise to advance commercial fleet electrification.
