Range Rover has confirmed the addition of a fifth model to its lineup with the introduction of the new Range Rover GT, the brand’s first fully electric vehicle and the first production model to be built on its new Electric Modular Architecture (EMA).
First Production Model on New Electric Platform
The Range Rover GT will launch initially as a battery electric vehicle, with a full hybrid version scheduled to follow.

According to the company, the model has been developed as a grand tourer while maintaining the off-road capability associated with the Range Rover brand.
The vehicle will be manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood plant in the United Kingdom alongside internal combustion engine and hybrid models.
New Interior Design
Range Rover also provided the first preview of the GT’s interior, which adopts a simplified cabin layout.
The dashboard features a central infotainment display paired with a digital driver display, while a concealed full-width air vent is integrated into the instrument panel.
A woven textile material extends across the dashboard, incorporating hidden speakers as part of the interior design. The company said the approach is intended to reduce both visual and acoustic clutter while enabling greater use of conversational voice controls for vehicle functions.
Designed for Long-Distance Touring
Martin Limpert, Managing Director of Range Rover, said the GT has been developed to combine grand touring characteristics with the capability expected from the brand.
“The GT formula has been reinterpreted to deliver car-like poise and long-distance refinement while retaining the all-terrain capability that distinguishes Range Rover from conventional grand tourers.”
Prototype vehicles are currently completing final testing in multiple global markets. The development fleet features a camouflage design created by Range Rover’s in-house creative team, inspired by the topographic landscape surrounding the company’s engineering center in Gaydon.

The introduction of the Range Rover GT expands the brand’s lineup to five models and marks the production debut of Jaguar Land Rover’s Electric Modular Architecture.
The new platform is expected to underpin future electrified Range Rover models as the company continues expanding its battery electric and hybrid vehicle portfolio over the coming years.
