Priority Bicycles has introduced its latest electric model, the Priority Glide, a lightweight, commuter-focused e-bike that emphasizes ease of use, low maintenance, and rider-friendly design. Unlike many tech-heavy e-bikes in today’s market, the Glide strips things down to the essentials with a belt-driven drivetrain and internal hub gearing, aiming to provide a more accessible experience for riders who prefer simplicity over features.
Priced at $1,799, with a $400 discount available through August 4, the Glide positions itself as one of the most affordable belt-drive e-bikes featuring a Gates Carbon Drive system and Shimano Nexus 3-speed internal rear hub. This combination allows for hassle-free shifting, even while stationary, and removes the need for greasy chains or derailleur adjustments. The Glide continues Priority’s mission of producing nearly maintenance-free bicycles without premium price tags.
Built on a step-through frame with clean lines and upright geometry, the Glide weighs in at just 49 lb (22.2 kg), making it one of the lighter e-bikes in its category. It features 700c x 38mm puncture-resistant tires, full-length composite fenders, front and rear LED lighting, and a dual kickstand for stable parking. A 350W front hub motor and 374Wh battery offer speeds up to 20 mph and an estimated range of 20 miles using throttle only, or up to 60 miles with pedal assist.
The bike supports both pedal assist and thumb throttle operation, with three assist levels available. The compact motor and battery configuration contribute to the Glide’s lightweight and efficient performance, while keeping power levels moderate and manageable for everyday urban use.
Priority is offering the Glide in two frame sizes and two color options—blue and black—with a maximum payload capacity of 300 lb (136 kg). Its accessible step-through frame design makes it suitable for a wide range of riders and riding needs, including short commutes, casual rides, and urban errands.
