Dutch charging infrastructure provider PowerGo said on Friday it is expanding its ultra-fast charging network across several European countries, with new installations planned in Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Spain.
The expansion includes charging points capable of delivering speeds ranging from 240kW to 480kW. In Denmark, PowerGo has been awarded a contract by the Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) to install 10 charging points across three highways. The new chargers will be deployed at locations including Rute 21 near Torkilstrup on SjƦlland, the E45 near Aalborg in the north, and a site in southern Jutland near the German border.
In Belgium, PowerGo will establish a charging hub along the E40 in Ghent, as part of the Loop urban development project. The site will feature six chargers with a maximum capacity of 400kW. In Spain, 24 chargers will be installed across six locations on the R2, R3, and R5 highways near Madrid. The project is being carried out on behalf of SEITT, the state-owned transport infrastructure company.
Meanwhile, in the Netherlands, the company will set up a new hub near the A9 highway in North Holland, close to the event venue Gasterij Vuurland. PowerGo said it plans to upgrade the siteās grid capacity over time to accommodate additional chargers for both passenger vehicles and electric trucks.
āWith the expansion of our ultra-fast charging network along European highways, we are taking another important step towards making electric driving even more accessible,ā said PowerGo CEO Ivo van Dam. āMore new locations will follow soon. Our focus remains on providing the EV driver with a fast, reliable, and sustainable charging experience, wherever they need it.ā
