Porsche has opened a new Charging Lounge in Ringsheim, South Baden, offering 400 kW fast-charging capability alongside comfort-focused amenities. The site, located near the A5 autobahn and close to Europapark Rust, is the eighth facility in the company’s premium charging network across Europe.
The lounge features six DC fast-charging points operating 24/7, enabling a Taycan to charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes and a Macan in 21 minutes. Amenities include indoor lounge chairs, roofed outdoor seating, refreshments, modern washrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
The addition extends Porsche’s dedicated network to sites in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, facilitating long-distance routes such as Bingen to Ringsheim to Nyon. The Porsche Charging Service provides access to more than 900,000 charging points in 26 countries, including over 85,000 with over 150 kW DC output. Partnerships with IONITY, Aral Pulse, and Bulgaria’s Fines Charging offer discounted rates for Plus customers.
Access to the lounges can be made through the My Porsche app, Porsche Communication Management system, or via a linked Porsche ID for license plate recognition at the entry barrier. Payments are handled through the Porsche Charging Service, with ad hoc charging available. The Ringsheim facility forms part of Porsche’s strategy to combine rapid recharging with premium customer experiences to support electric vehicle adoption.
