Porsche is diversifying its hybrid portfolio for the latest Cayenne model, introducing the Cayenne S E-Hybrid as the third electrified engine option in the series. Positioned between the Cayenne E-Hybrid and the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid aims to strike a harmonious balance between everyday practicality and high-performance capabilities. This new variant is available in both SUV and SUV Coupé body styles, catering to a wider range of preferences.

Building upon the enhanced hybrid technology introduced earlier this year, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid boasts an improved electric range and reduced charging times thanks to its intelligent energy management system.

Under the hood, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid features a revised three-liter V6 turbo engine, generating 260 kW (353 PS). This powerplant is complemented by a 130 kW (176 PS) electric motor, resulting in a combined system output of 382 kW (519 PS) and an impressive maximum system torque of 750 N·m. This robust powertrain translates into remarkable driving performance, with the Cayenne S E-Hybrid accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and achieving a top speed of 263 km/h (163 mph).

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid comes equipped with a standard adaptive air suspension featuring innovative 2-chamber, 2-valve technology. This advanced system offers a wide range of spring rates, delivering both enhanced comfort and dynamic driving characteristics.

Furthermore, the latest S E-Hybrid models benefit from refinements to the hybrid system found in the current Cayenne generation. With a substantial battery capacity of 25.9 kWh, these models can achieve a purely electric range (EAER City) of up to 90 kilometers, enabling emissions-free local driving for most daily needs. Porsche has ensured efficient charging capabilities with the introduction of a new on-board AC charger, capable of fully replenishing the Cayenne S E-Hybrid’s battery in less than two and a half hours when connected to a suitable power source with an 11 kW charging capacity.

Prospective buyers can now place orders for the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid models, with deliveries scheduled to commence in November 2023.
